For those of you who know Carl I received the sad news today that his mother, Margaret "Peg" Weber, passed away about 2 weeks ago.

Those of us who have been attending Carl's meets for years will have fond memories of the meets when they were held at Bill and Peg's house - always being greated upon arrival by Bill with his hand out for a shake and a welcome followed by checking in with Peg for that all important hug.

Bill and Peg, both, were those rare types that made you feel that you were the most important person in their life and that you were part of the family.

Tho Carl's meets have been held for several years at his home due to the declining health of both Bill and Peg, everyone always wanted to know how they were doing.

Peg will be missed.

Just wondering if you have purchased the 1954 Hudson Super Wasp Hollywood as yet? I know that is your dream car and you have been searching the world for one. Have you been having any success as of late?

I hope you don't give up on it.

Some day soon I'll be able to send you some photos of mine, as it's beginning to look like one again; soon the Coker Classics (made by Denman) www radials and the Chrysler, chrome-spoked wheels go on it before it's driven to the upholstery shop.

What a wild and adventure-some ride it's been, but I know that in the end it'll be worth it..... maybe if I can forget about all of the expenses involved.

Yes the Segedy car was a great one to start with; there must perhaps be some better ones out there, but this one worked out just fine.

Cheers,

My '53 Hornet Coupe is for sale. This is the light gray over maroon Coupe that has been a favorite at Hudson Meets for many years. Has Twin H, Dual range Hyrdramatic. Has 12 V alternator system, and A/C. Red checkered interior. Has a '56 308 with recent valve job ( all new guides, stainless valves, valve springs, 3 angle valve seat grind, new timing chain ,etc.) Very presentable car, probably between a #2 and 3. Has Clifford Headers, and Mallory Dual point ignition. New Radials on Chrysler 7" rims with the '54 style full disc hubcaps. A fine driving car. Reason for selling.......I'm now much more interested in obtaining a nice Flxible Clipper bus motor home conversion. I enjoyed this car for 20 years, including the restoration. I got it from the late Marvin Friedman in CO Springs in May of 1984 for my 22nd birthday. Many good memories, but time to move on to new things, I can't keep them all. Will entertain offers in the $17,500 range. Email me at knnu21@yahoo.com. Thanks, Kenneth Ufheil

PS, Will try selling to HET club member first, then if not sold in reasonable time for reasonable offer, then I will try Ebay.

I've run solid motor/transmission mounts in many of my cars before. But those cars had full frames with the body being insulated by rubber cushions.

Being the Hudson is monobilt or unibody I'm wondering if anyone has run solid motor and/or transmission mounts in the stepdowns (any engine/trans type) and what their experiences are?
