My father and I are considering selling off some of our collection of Hudson parts and are curious about demand for, and approximate value of some of our collection. Some of the more interesting parts are two Edmunds aluminum heads for a 308 they are in great cond and of different comp. ratios. Also an Edmunds 2 two barrel carb intake all these parts were once the property of Ben Blackburn and were given to my dad when he died. We also have a 308 with twin H setup in good condition which Mr. Blackburn helped my dad assemble years ago, but ran well when it was pulled from the car. There is also a 49 Com. front subframe, steering column and box etc. possibly available along with the entire running gear and suspension out of a 47 super six (6 cyl non-overdrive)Email me with any questions or helpful info we hope to help fund some project hudsons with any sales.

(Thanx for the tips)I removed and cleaned all the contacts, rerwired the headlight buckets (found a loose, bare wire there). I also installed a 6V headlight relay, and now the 'lights are very bright, and stay on!
The relay is not necessary, but I added it as extra insurance for brightness. Bottom line; contacts, especially the dimmer and headlight buckets/radiator support terminal block get corroded w/time.
Just thought I'd let you know I put the radiator I took out of my '48 Super Six for sale on E-bay, because I wasn't sure what it was worth. I figured I'd let the bidding set the price. As soon as I have more time I'm going to post the other parts I took off. Maybe these parts can get a few more Hudsons running.

I just spent the better part of today taking pictures and posting the "Good","Working", Hudson parts I took off my '48 Super Six onto Ebay. Stuff like the 6 volt horns, brake drums, headlight switch, etc. One thing I posted was a rear glass. It was still in the box, and it says, "Back Glass 52 Hudson Hornet". I have no idea what Hudson it fits, but the dimensions are 51and1/2in by 22in. It would help if I knew what it fit. If you have any idea, e-mail me at wkitchen@midsouth.rr.com If you wish to bid on any of the items, and want to save shipping, I'll be at the MidSouth Chapter Meet Oct. 29th and 30th. and could bring the parts with me. Don't look at my '48 as a "butchered" car, look at it as an "organ donor"!(ha)
