I finally finished installing new radiator support bushings for the '51 Commodore in the L shaped steel brackets. I recreated the bushings as close as I could to the originals including the brass inserts. these should help keep the soldered seams on the top and bottom tanks of the newly recored 4 row radiator from cracking due to vibration. The old ones were toast. Hard, brittle and squished out. New ones are looking good.....

I have the chrome trim for the car and extra trim to go with it. Original 327ci amc v8 with automatic transmission all original. The engine has been taken apart from the guy I bought it from. It's a car I saved from a guy taking it to the scrap yard. It has all the windows in it some are cracked, but the front and rear glass is good and I have a spare rear window. Extra doors, tail fins and rear brake lights. It needs the floor pans replaced and the interior is original to the car just needs re-apolstered. Ill have to look to make sure but it has all the original dash pieces. And I'll have to look and see if I can find the original hub caps for it. The body is straight with only a couple spots where rust will need to be repaired. All the grill and front trim is still on the car. I don't have time to do anything with the car I just had to buy it so the guy wouldn't scrap it. I will not deliver car it will be on the buyer to pick up the vehicle or make arrangements. It is not a running car so it will have to be trailered. Any questions feel free to ask

Hi All,

Im looking at getting a 46 Commodore 8, four door suicide door sedan. 77k original miles, solid as a rock. Since I am pretty new to Hudsons (never owned one, just admired them), I'm looking for a couple of things and hoping this site will help me out.
On my Hudson, most of the side windos have cracks. Anyone know of someone who has replacements? I'm not looking for perfection, just better than what's there now.
Also I'm looking for schematics. For example, the seller had the gas tank removed, boiled, and put back in (somehow) and its sitting in the trunk. I'm thinking this is not right hahahaha. I need to see how this is supposed to look.

Thanks in advance!

Keith

I know Kgap once supplied very good stainless retainer strips, but from what I have been hearing, getting them form Kgap may be impossible. There was a guy making them in galvanized steel, but I forget who he was and have no idea whether he still provides them. Is there any other source? I need a set for a 1951 Hornet Club Coupe. Thanks, Kenneth
