Here is an example of a nicely preserved SS Big Block car. This car is equipped with a completely Numbers Matching 402 motor, 4-speed trans., rear end, etc. IT’S NOT A 454. It just has the fender markings and air cleaner sticker. IT’S A REAL U CODE VIN SS CAR.

It retains all of it original sheet metal, including floors, trunk, fenders, and rear quarters (numbers are factory stamped on the quarters). The undercarriage is very clean and rust free.
The car comes with a clear title and a folder full of receipts, including engine rebuild and miscellaneous parts. Engine has approximately 1800 miles since rebuild (have receipt). I also have the factory smog pump equipment with the engine manifolds, orange painted valve covers, and original water pump. Also, I have the original black air cleaner cover.

What is Needs:

The front grill has a small crack.

Needs a rubber trunk seal

Needs a door rubber seal by window area

Hey everyone. Im new here. Just purchased a 1962 GMC Sierra. Needs some work.. The knobs(being nice) decided to lower it by heating the springs. BOO to them!!!

Anyways, does anyone know where i can find information about customising this truck? IE what could fit in it, suspension ect... Ive been looking and i have found NO LUCK with the 62 GMC.

Unfortunatly it is NOT in origional condition, so i am looking to modify it into a "Hot Rod" if you will by changing suspension, taking out the 305 with the 1 barrel carb(never seen that before) and putting in an already made Chev 350.

So any Suggestions, sites, pictures, ect that you may have/know of/found would be appreciated!!!

Thanks!!
It has a 9/16" thread on it, and it's the bolt that holds the wheel cylinder to the spindle, and also the upper brake springs. I am having no luck at finding one, and am wondering first, if anyone has an extra to sell. Second, if anyone has a parts book so I can find out the factory part number, then I may be able to locate using the internet. Third, is there a year/model range that these bolts are common to? I'm certain that GM made these to fit several models. Thanks for your time.....

Auto Body Restoration | Automotive Rust Repair

You can learn custom car paint here at autorevival.com. There are a lot of steps involved in the process of a custom car paint job, but once you learn the steps it's not that difficult. It all comes down to your creativity, and how you see the outcome of the work.

Of course this article begins after the body work is done on the car. Keep n mind that the better you do the body work, the better the paint will look in the end. With that in mind the first thing that I always do is to check the body work on the car.

When people think of car paint work; they usually don't think first of the body work, they look at the outcome of the paint work on the car. I This in my opinion is the first mistake that most people make when custom painting their car.

A check of the body work may take all of one hour, and in the end it will help to insure that the paint looks great when it's done. There is no great secret to checking the the accuracy of the body work on the project, first make sure that the car is clean.

After you know that the car is clean; you can do your quality check of the body work on the car. I do this by putting a thin tissue or cloth between my had and the car, and that I begin to feel for high spots, or low spots in the body work on the project.

The cloth or tissue between my hand an the car make it easier to feel flaws in the body work on the car. If I find any problems I then use a Sharpie to circle them so I can fix them before I paint the car. After fixing the problems it is necessary to prime and sand those areas again.

Then I clean the entire body surface of the car again. This is the point where you need to have a good idea of how you want the car to look when it's done. There are so many options for how custom car paint can look, the plan needs to be done just right.

This is the point when you begin to lay out your custom car paint work, this is the longest parts of the process and it must be done just right. If your going to use a lot of colors and depths of paint to create your ultimate paint work.

Custom paint is all about the masking, and the prep time that you spend on the project. Especially if your dealing with candy apple, chameleon, or some other really specialized type of auto paint. These paints cost a lot of money, and you do not need to have a redo on any of it.

Know you lay out to the tee, do not change your mind in the middle of the work. There is no doubt that you need to pay absolute attention to what you are doing if you plan to get it right the first time. I will list a few steps below now, and in the next post I will cover it in depth.

Steps to do custom car paint work:

1. Plan the project, you can never do do much planning.
2. Quality check the body work, this will insure that the work looks great.
3. Make sure that you plan a budget for the project, this is not a cheap undertaking.
4. Make sure that you have all of the tools, and supplies that you need to do the project.
5. If this is you first time doing this type of paint work, get help if possible.
6. Make sure that the car is clean before you do any paint work.

Need help in estimating a selling price for a 1968 Cadillac DeVille Convertible.

Car belonged to my father and was left to me, he bought it in the early 90's, somewhere between 1990 and 1993.

White with white top and white leather seats. Dash and carpet are black. Interior in pretty good condition, door panels and dash are cracked from desert heat.

California car, all original except fenders have been replaced. Car was repainted and surface rust fixed in 2004. Paint is in excellent condition.

Bumpers are slightly pitted but not rusted through.

Car has 117812 miles, original radio, electric windows, and power seats.

The engine was in good running shape until approximately 2006. I'm unsure what the exact problem was, I believe it originated with the timing, and ended up that the distributor was actually fused to the engine, possibly from overheating due to using the car to pull trailers in the 90's.

I was under the impression the car had a 454 V8 in it, but my mom believes it is a 472. I am unsure how to tell which engine it has. We do have a spare engine and transmission to go with it, both engines most likely are rebuildable, and with the parts available, a running engine could possibly be put together. Spare engine also has working transmission, but transmission on car has slight leak.

Engine hoist would also be included in sale, as well as a few spare trim parts and other parts for the vehicle.

I have some pictures of the car and spare engine, but was unable to take photos of the engine that's in the car right now.

Hi guys,
I'm new here in this forum. My name is Robert, I own a 1970 Ford Torino GT convertible and a 1977 Buick Century Station Wagon.
Maybe somebody can help me find what I’m looking for.
I live in Berlin, Germany, and would like to get this car registered as a vintage vehicle. The problem is, the car has been modified to run on liquid gas (LPG), basically it's just an extra gadget hooked to the carburetor, the additional tank, etc.
Now, in order to get this vehicle registered as an oldtimer with it's benefits I need some kind of proof that these vehicles were also running on liquid gas back in the years from 1977 up to 1987. Or just some kind of information that cars were also able run with liquid gas (as I’m referring to this picture on your sight : http://www.delcoremyhistory.com/images/Museums/REOlds/gold-8-engine-107w-1.jpg
Could you maybe supply some official looking document that would prove this fact? That would be a great help to me.
Thanks in advance.
Regards
