Hello,

My father and I are rebuilding a 58 Delray 4 door; and are in need of front and back seats. I’ve been looking online for a couple of days without any luck. I’m guessing some Chevy’s seats would be interchangeable. If so what model and year could I use???

Second any leads for finding door panels???
I thank you for any advice or tips you have, thank you again.

I have this 72 Bird with factory, fiberglass twin scoop hood being restored at Jeff Lilly Restorations in San Antonio. It had a frame off restore for the last two years on and off, ordering new parts, going through rotations, etc. It will be A/C cooled using newer model compressor mounted next to the alternator via with fabricated brackets instead of the way it sits on the far right of the engine in the old times, nasty. Here is the link to Jeff Lilly.
I just can't wait to turn the key. The motor was built by Butler Pontiac Performance in Tennesee. The 400 block was stroked to 461 four bolt main, Eagle crank, Eagle rods, Ross 9:4 to 1 compression, Competition roller cam: duration .050, 236/242 and .520/.540, modified, ported 6X cast iron heads with 2.11/1.77Ferrea steel valves, Competion roller rockers/lifters, Holley Street Dominator intake, 800 Holley double pump, TCI Super Streetfighter Turbo 400 tranny and Ford 9 inch rear with 3:55 gears. I expect this car to run 11's. It was dynoed at Butler and rated at 514 horsepower and 544 feet pounds of torque, RPM range up to 5800-6000. The printout I have here says 500 pounds of torque at 3000 rpms. There is too much to list. Here is the link to Butler.
I am in dire need of a new dashboard or mint condition and black in color for this car. Lilly charges for search for one, dang, 65 bucks an hour to look for it.

The factory had made some molds but had a bad fit so it was returned to the factory and will not sell it to the public till 2006 or 2007, I do not want to drive it w/t a dash.
Thanks and it was great being on Classic Cars.

BTW, I have having a hard time posting pictures of restoring process, one picture has a file of 329 MB, it can only accept 30 something MB??????

OK folks, I have a carb question that I would like to see if you all can help me out with.

I have a 67 pick up with a 383, holley 750 vacuum secondary and a manual holley fuel pump. I have had the same pump and card now for about 5 years and only filters changed. No problems.

After a recent rebuild that took 2 ½ years (to include the fuel system) I though it would be best to rebuild the card and replace the filters. When I got the carb back from the boil/rebuild I was told that I had water in the carb. But all else looked good just needed a good cleaning.

I went home drained the tank, refilled with good gas and drained fuel lines by taking the fuel line off the outlet side of fuel and turning the engine over. Good right?

I reinstalled the carb and it fired right up and ran GREAT. Pulls hard for ever without a hiccup. BUT, when I let off the gas and GET back to cruising speed, as I apply the throttle to sustain cruising speed, the engine cuts out..let off the gas it is fine…give gas (even just a little) and engine cuts out. (this all happens only after getting on it “hard”) After about 5 or 10 seconds all is fine and I can cruise all day…get into again and it all repeats… I was thinking floats..I came home and adjusted them..took it back out and same thing….Now I’m thinking metering block.. The guy who boiled and rebuilt the carb said bring it back by so he can look at it..I just have not had the time (I work from 1500 till about 0400) …So I thought I would try my luck here. Thanks for any help and sorry for the long se-nops o

The car looks complete and in good condition (restorable). No obvious rust, only one side window cracked, other glass good. I noticed a missing headlight rim, but everything else appears to be there. All trim complete, and body straight. I am a Hudson guy, and have my hands full, but hate to see a nice car go away. If anyone is interested, I'll try to get more info on the car or put you in touch with the seller. The car is about 60 miles east of Knoxville. Let me know.
The interior is great and the car runs and drivers very well. It is a two owner car and the only reason that it needs a paint job is because it has a few scratches on it, nothing too serious. I was wondering what the car was worth. He is asking 15,500 which I don't think is a bad price for what it is but I also dont want to spend that kind of money on a car that isn't worth it. I would greatly appriciate any feedback on this because it is hard to find what classics are worth without asking around.
