My business "Vintage Ignition" specializes in rebuilding & restoring vintage Mallory distributors such as the double-life dual point & rev-pol units. I would be able to help with any mechanical issues as well as full cosmetic restoration. I also offer electronic conversions for them as well for those who want vintage look but updated performance. I can supply packard 440 solid core wire and Rajah clips as well.

I look forward to working with anyone I can to get their distributor up to speed. This is not a spam or sales speech. I want to offer my expertise to anyone I can as these vintage units are more often finding their way into trash bins than they are cars....Shoot me an email if I can help.

Hello,

Stumbled upon a 1974 Comet being sold by a friend of a friend. Car is bone stock, inline six, 100% origional and in outstanding shape. I have never seen an old car with paint as nice as the paint on this car. No wrecks, drives like a dream. Interior is spotless -- the last owner took out the original radio and installed an AIWA cd player. Otherwise, 100% OEM.

I can't find a damn thing about this car online.

What is a fair price for this car? Were there/are there known problems for this car? It would be "leased" to our girls for their first set of wheels --to and from work, school, etc.

Thanks in advance,

I am in the process of researching droppin a 289 V-8 w/ fuel injection into it in the future and just wondering what other things I may have to change to get a more modern motor to work flawlessly in this car. I realize that I will need the computer and a few other things, but how much into computer details or wiring changes I am not quite sure of. If anyone could answer this question then it would be much apprecitated. Thanks.........

Hey what they said was not totallly true. Teens driving collector cars isn't that bad.....especially if they are the ones who own and restored the car with their own hands.....such as myself. I own a 64 Lincoln Continetal it has gone under some extensive work but still has a long way to go due to my budget. I have experienced most of the ups and downs that other automotive restorers have experienced but I still have alot to learn(Thats half the fun). Then when putting on your new NOS parts you think to yourself wow this is coming together. Then you realize that your car still needs to be repainted, releathered and engine rebuilt. Everytime your hopes go up they plumet down realizing how far you have to go. I can't wait for the rewarding moment the day my car is finished. I gained my experience from a group called Davis High Performance. A small high school program consisting of motorheads who's girlfriends don't understand them. And that ditch class to get that last detail on their antiques done. Here is our Website. We have suffered massive budget cuts. If someone could just see our potential they would understand the how essential it is to help fund our program. Any sponsor is welcome. Any sized contribution is welcome.
The tail light is perfect for my current 31 AV8 buildup. I particularly like the chrome bezel.

Anybody have any ideas?? It was suggested that this may be a Chrysler part or gm part.

Are these assemblies available, or even just the bezels available anywhere??

Any body know what year or make they were off of??

Thanks
