I have a 1971 dodge dart, 360 block stroked out to 408, 8 3/4 posi rearend. Im just wondering what is the best way to get extra traction, tubbing is not an option. I've heard of something called a snubber kit, but i haven't been able to find it online, maybe traction bars or a 4 link kit is another option. Let me know what you guys think and if anyone else has done this to their A-body. Maybe good websites or companies i can look into.

I was at the local junk yard the other day and came across a dodge truck again. Its been there for atleast a year. Thought someone would have jumped on it but I guess I was wrong. I believe its in the early 50's. Its in pretty decent shape. I was told it ran when they parked it there. On the rear of cab there is glass that wraps around where the b pillar would be.....if that makes any sense. The hood I thought was trick.....it opens on the drivers or the passengers side. hinged in the middle if that helps with the year. I was told they have the title. Its a shame that she is still sittin there, right behind a stude pickup. I was told they wanted $600 for her. If anyone is interested in her I would be more than happy with obtaining the contact info as well as some pics. The owner is a good guy. He is an old hot rodder and was inducted into the circle track hall of fame. Cool guy. Just drop me a line if there is anything I can do to help. I would have jumped on it but I didn't fit in the truck. I'm 6'6"...LoL. Well take care and be safe

Hello guys and gals,

I am new to this forum and have recently been the recipient of a 1950 Chrysler Windsor for my birthday. My wife and parents bought it for me. I have wrenched on my own cars since the mid to late 60's. I have built a

'72 Nova (stock, except for a little fun under the hood) and in the process of restoring a 1969 Thunderbird that has been in the family since 1971. I would like to see pics of a '50 Windsor that has been built into a street rod. It will be another year probably before I get to the Chrsyler. I am still tossing it up in the air as to complete restoration or street rod.

I got a 74' Dart for my teenager last year, doing some repair and resto work.

Recently had to switch to a specialty oil on my solid pushrod/flat tappet/air cooled VW due to the recent lack of ZDDP in mass-market motor oils.

Just wondering if the Dart engine (8 cyl) has had any issues with modern oils? IIRC it has Hydraulic lifters....

Need an opinion or 2 on a '54 Dodge Coronet

I have this '54 Coronet with the original Red Ram Hemi in it. Years ago it was drove to a garage where it was kept prior to being mine (it was left to me from my grandfather) A couple of years later I went to get it to start some minor work on it and it is seized up.

I do know that when it was stored, it had some oil dumped down each cylinder, because I was there. But now I can't get it to break free.

What do you guys think I can do short of disassembly to try and free it up? I have put some kroil and PB Blaster in the cyl to try and free them up, but to no avail. I don't want to put to much pressure on the crank nut to try and free it, because I don't want to break that.

Is there a chance a lifter or something else is seized that is not letting the engine turn?

Any help or suggestions would be great. A friend of mine is saying we should drag it down the road and pop the clutch...that just don't sound good to me. Maybe a last ditch effort...but definitely not the beginning!!

I own a Jensen Interceptor in the UK which uses the Chrysler 440 cu in engine with Carter carb. I want to find out more about this engine, in particular its various vehicle applications in the US. It also seems to have been detuned (to 285 bhp) and specced to run immensely hot to improve emissions in California. Is this right? What is the US impression of this engine - since the Interceptor is one of the very few UK cars to use a US engine, we don't have much to judge it by!

Any info greatfully welcome.

thanks
