The engine is actually in a motorhome, original dodge chassy. I bought it knowing from the owner that the solenoid was bad in the starter. So I changed it, and hooked it back up and tried to start, nothing. Would not crank. So I went underneath, with the key in the on position, and touched the posts together with a screwdriver, it sparked like a mother but would not engage the starter.

Now all I have for connection is a thick rubber cable with two rings at the end, small one and a big one, that connect to the starter. So its pretty hard to mix it up. I know i put it back on right. So I figured bad solenoid in the new starter. So I returned it and bought another, put it in. This time it did crank and almost started it, but when I went to turn it again, nothing. It only worked once. I tried to connect the posts underneath and it almost turned it once but didn't completely engage. Any clues at all what could be going on? The battery seems to be giving plenty of juice...

Hey, y'all! I'm a noob with a question.

Not sure which coupe, but is a project car: 2 door coupe with rumble seat, and is just the body, right now all in rust, but basically solid.

I'm wondering if any of you can advise me what something like this would be worth, or where a fair listing could be found.

Looking at the internet, I'm only finding the 4 door sedans for sale. Can you give me any help?
Thanks in advance.

I have a restored 1968 with a 225 slant six. The engine just started to knock maybe one of the connecting rods according to a mechanic friend. It happened when the oil pressure dropped from 40 to 20. the engine was a little warm 190-200 but did not over heat. I was wondering about replacing the slant 6 with a 318. I understand that the automatic tranny will also have to be replaced. Any suggestions or comments? Are there any sites anyone can recommend for 1968 mopar parts?

Its been siting for 8 years but the AZ climate hasn't done it too bad. Some rust issues on the driver's rocker and some minor surface rust on the body (mostly just oxidation). The owner's husband passed away last year and never got around to finishing a restoration on it. They drove it on their wedding day and has always been in the family.

The engine will not start after it is warmed up and then shut off for about an hour. When the engine is cold it starts right up. It is a V-8 that has been over hauled. The carb, starter, ignition, all has been rebuilt. All wiring has been replaced with new 6V wiring. I put a can of gas up on a step ladder way above the engine and ran a hose directly into the carb. (gravity feed). If I put gas in it that has the 10% ethanol it will not start after it is warm and sits for an hour. If I put airplane gas in the can (no ethanol in airplane gas). It starts right up after it has been warmed up. I've put 2 cycle oil in the gas and it did not help. I've put Marvel mystery in the gas and did not help. Michigan only sells gas with ethanol in it. Anybody have any ideas? Thanks

Prefer cloth interior, but leather is OK, too. Will also consider a 2-door NY, a four-door Newport, or '75-'78 Dodge Royal Monaco 2-door. Must be running, driving car needing very little. NO projects, demo derby candidates, "needs work", or rust bombs. Must have a good to excellent interior and chrome. All electrical must operate as stock and function. A car that needs minor attention is fine. A car that needs a resto is not. Prefer a car within 600 miles of central OK, will consider cars farther away if it is the right car! Must be able to provide detailed photos.
My father recently bought a 51 Wayfarer from Kansas. he lives in Indiana. When he had the police check required before taking the title to the DMV they found the engine number on the title instaed of the VIN. Is this normal or should it have the VIN on the title?
Got a 54 Dodge, 3 on the tree. I'm toying with the idea of fitting a small block Chev & auto trannie. (for modern day drivability...) But before i go 'pulling wrenches', Is there any automatics that will bolt up to the Flat-head 6 that's already there? Or has anyone done a motor/trannie swap like this?, or is this considered the ultimate sin!!!!!?

I am in the process of developing a paper model of a 1957 Plymouth Belvedere as a gift for my father-in-law. I have been searching the internet for reference material that will give me the physical dimensions of the car, but so far have turned up nothing. I have lot's of photo's to give me the general contours but nothing to help me relate length to width, etc.

If you have any information that might help me with this project I would really appreciate hearing from you.

Thanks,
