Ford Torino, for sale in Arlington, Texas, for $4,450.
1973 was a successful year for the Torino, with a total of 496,581 units being sold. In the Car and Driver road test of the ’73 Torino, the suspension received high marks for comfort and handling. Car and Driver wrote that the Torino was as “Quiet as a Jaguar, smooth as a Continental, the Torino’s ride is exceptional! “
This 2 Door Hardtop Torino has had only 3 owners. The V.I.N. # is B25F2538146. It was repainted in ’02 to the original bright red color. There are a couple of spots on the body that need to be touched up and repainted, but the body is pretty solid and straight. The car is stock original except for an added in-dash Sun-Pro Tach and Sun-Pro Gauges under the dash. It also has Dual Exhaust with Chrome Tips that sounds good! The trunk has been carpeted with nice gray carpet.
The Engine is the original stock 302-2V and has 164,705 miles on it. The motor runs and sounds good, but could probably use a good tune-up. The transmission is the original Automatic 3-Speed. The Air Conditioning system has been converted over to the new R-134A, it blows cool but could use a recharge to make it colder. The Hubcaps on this Torino are original, and it has new P205/75R14 Radial Tires. It also has new Shocks and Brakes on all four corners.
The interior is all original and is solid Black. It has the low back bench seat with separate head rests, and the factory Am/Fm Radio that still works! There are a few places that need to be fixed on the dashpad, front seat, and part of the side headliner. It comes with the original 1973 Owner’s Manual and a Brochure from the same year. Overall this Torino is in good shape and just needs a little TLC to be back to like new condition.
