When you start talking cars with truck beds everyone usually brings up the El Camino. Many people forget the classic Ford counterpart that hit the market as its competition. Originally Sold as the Ford Ranchero these cars had a great look and combined the function of a truck with the sleekness of a car. With the production of the Falcon line in the 60's the car was renamed giving us the 1963 Falcon Ranchero you see here. These great look classics run very well and usually come with the drive train you would expect to find in that Ford muscle car we all know and love. This car has a very solid body and is coated in a Ford Wimbledon White that has a nice finish. The front and rear bumpers are nicely chromed and mounted in place. The stainless trim running around the windows and truck bed is in good condition with no issues. On all four corners you will find cool after market Centerline Wheels that have been polished out to a great shine.
Powering this classic down the road is a nice 1988 302 V8 that has been bored .030 over. It has been completely rebuilt and has been fitted with a mild cam for some extra HP. The block and heads are coated in Ford Blue and are topped with Moroso valve covers and a chrome Ford Motorsport air cleaner. To match the Blue the distributor is fitted with a Blue cap and Blue spark plug wires. The car has a nice idle and a great sound through hooker headers into dual exhaust. Backing up the engine is a rebuilt 1973 Mustang 4 speed that shifts with no problems. The front spindles, brakes, and master cylinder are out of a 73 Mustang as well. The car has disc brakes all around with all stainless steel lines. In the rear is a 1978 8" Lincoln Versailles rear end with a Curry Enterprise differential (3.25-1 ratio. )
The interior of the car is left in the original style and done in all black. The dash has been updated with an underdash gauge bezel to provide you with a temp, oil, and amp gauge. It also has a nicely mounted tachometer mounted behind the polished Grant steering wheel. The car is fitted with a bench seat that has nice upholstery and is very comfortable. To the floor board you will find the Hurst shifter with white knob.
This is one cool classic that needs nothing. It spent most of its life in Florida but now resides in Michigan. It is in great condition and drives very well.
