Ford Fairlane, Red, for sale in Charlotte, North Carolina, for $11,995.
What you are seeing here is a 1-owner 1964 Ford Fairlane 500 4-door sedan with a numbers matching 260cid - Holley 2-bbl Cleveland V-8 and a 3-speed manual transmission. A real southern car built on the 26th day in February in Kansas City and sold new at Hub Ford in Atlanta in 1964. Painted in Rangoon Red over an original custom red vinyl interior. And accessorized with power steering, AM radio, deep pile carpeting, dual chrome outdoor mirrors, full wheel covers, air conditioning and more. This car has been meticulously cared for by its owner, which always adds up over the years. The body is free from rust, and all body panels and gaps are nice and straight. This car was re-painted to its original Rangoon Red color in 2001 and still looks great, as it has been driven very little since. All chrome and stainless steel moldings look great too. The interior looks fantastic and is quite luxurious for its time. The seats, door panels, dash and carpeting, kick plates are all in great shape. I especially like the white trim and the Fairlane logo on the seat backs.
Ford marketing was running out of nameplates in the sixties but the Ford family came up with the name Fairlane which was taken from Henry's mansion in Dearborn, called Fair Lane - 2 separate words. For 1964, the rear of the car was re-styled. The tail fins were removed. The suspension was modified which improved ride-quality. The interior received minor enhancements from her bigger sister, the Galaxie.
Further adding to this car's desirability is the owner's manual. The jack and spare tire are present as well. You really don't get many opportunities to purchase a Fairlane like this one. Give one of our sales associates a call and have him take you around this car. You won't be disappointed.
