Ford, Orange, for sale in Charlotte, North Carolina, for $38,995.

Already featured in several magazine articles, this 1941 Ford custom pickup offers the best of everything. As a ground-up build, everything is new, from the frame (borrowed from a Ford Ranger), to the crate motor (a small block Chevy), to the stunning leather interior. As far as customs go, this is about as nice as they get.

The paint is all Ford, with 2004 Orange Crush and 2007 White Chocolate combining to give it a stunning look that will stand out at any show. Look closely and you'll see that the bed is a custom piece that seems to combine the latest Ford Ranger bedsides with some hand fabrication to create a one-of-a-kind look that seems perfectly appropriate. It's hard to know where the OEM stuff ends and the custom work begins, which is the hallmark of exceptional craftsmanship. The cab is traditional 1941 Ford, which captures the looks of one of the most popular hot rods of all time, the 1940 Ford coupe. From the V-shaped grille and teardrop headlights, to the gracefully rounded profile, this fat-fendered Ford is one of the most handsome trucks you'll ever see. Seriously, if you don't fall in love on sight, we're probably going to have to revoke your car guy credentials.

Inside, there's a 100% custom made tan leather interior that features comfortable bucket seats and a lot more space than you'd expect. Cloth inserts make them all-day comfortable, and tie in with the fabric headliner. Simple door panels are perfectly appropriate for a pickup truck and the dash is pure 1940s simple. An array of vintage gauges from Classic Instruments look almost like OEM Ford pieces with slender needles, off-white faces, and art-deco typeface, and keep a careful eye on the engine. A modern tilt column-shift with leather-wrapped billet steering wheel help to keep everything comfortable and easy to use. A custom-built mini-console under the dash holds the controls to the built-in A/C system and powerful Kenwood stereo with speakers scattered throughout the passenger compartment.

Power comes from a 350 cubic inch Chevy crate motor from Newsome Chevy, and it has been fully dressed for show. Getting all that hardware under the Ford's pointy hood took some clever engineering, including a recessed firewall and tightly mounted accessories. Everything has been chromed or polished, and there's a lot of billet aluminum that gives it a uniform look. Underneath, you'll find the newer Ford Ranger pickup truck frame, which offers independent front suspension, power disc brakes, and OEM ruggedness that many custom frames can't match. The transmission is a TH350 3-speed automatic spinning the original Ranger rear end, which is full of 3.45 gears for easy highway cruising. To complete the final look and stuff the wheel wells, 15-inch Torque Thrusts wearing 195/60/15 front and 255/70/15 rear Cooper radials were installed.

If you're in the market for a show-winner, this stunner has all the right ingredients. Please call us today and we'll be happy to tell you about its extensive list of features and modifications.
