Ford Crown Victoria Glasstop, for sale in Arlington, Texas, for $44,500.
Break out the poodle skirts and leather jackets because this classic will have you dreaming of the 50's. In true 50's style this classic is coated in the factory Pink and White two tone paint which is in excellent condition. Pink pinstripping graces the hood giving the car a touch of custom. You may just think this is your everyday 1955 Crown Victoria, but we assure you it is not. The rare glasstop option is something many people haven't seen. If you thought the moon roof was a new idea then you better guess again! These classics are covered with beautiful chrome and trim and just wouldn't look right without it. That's why all of the chrome, emblems, and stainless has been replaced or reworked to look amazing. The front grill is laser straight and makes for a great looking front end. The car has a great stance and rides on 15" chrome wheels with new wide whitewall radial tires.
The original 292 V8 was rebuilt and runs very well. It starts up every time and has a great sound through brand new dual exhaust with Magnaflow mufflers. The block, heads, and manifold are all coated in the correct Ford blue for originality. The finned valve covers are in place and look great next to the billet air cleaner. The original Ford O'Matic shifts very smoothly with zero issues. If you aren't sure what a Ford O'matic is, it's the 3 speed automatic introduced in 1950. The power brakes work just as they should with disc brakes in front and drum in rear. It has been completely converted to a 12 volt system to make replacing electrical parts alot less time consuming and less costly.
The interior is finished out in pink and white to match the exterior and looks great. The white seats with pink inserts look like they are custom but are actually the original style. The dash is left in the original style and looks great. All of the bezels and knobs are in great condition and in place. The glove box door has been chromed to add a little extra shine to the interior. The car has factory air conditioning but has an updated compressor. This means that not only will the A/C work better than it did originally but it has been converted from the R-12 system which means getting it charged is much easier. Spot lights are also in place which are the genuine real deal. These are often rare and can be very expensive. The original push button radio is also still in place and sounds great.
