In describing this wonderful car we cannot fully describe the detail that has gone into its construction. There was absolutely no expense spared in the components used. From the paint & body to the suspension, it is all done right.
The Kilborne 1932 3 window coupe body has great lines and is covered in a deep Michigan blue paint with a very nice set of true Ghost flames. The paint has been color sanded and buffed to a very deep luster. It shines and reflects so well that it made it difficult to photograph without getting the reflected images of the surroundings in the pictures. There are polished stainless spreader bars in front and rear. And a Dan Fink stainless 32 grill insert. A pair of Drake traditional 50 Pontiac style round tail lights are in back with glass blue dot inserts and a pair of SoCal headlights mounted to polished stands with headlight bar are in front. Then there are a pair of nice swan neck mirrors mounted on both doors and a nice set of billet windshield wipers. It has a great stance and is riding on Vintique spoke wheels which have been painted to match the car with chrome beauty rings and chrome "V8" dog dish hubcaps. (275/70R16 in rear, 165R15 in front) It has a custom built chassis with Curbside rails, a Pete & Jakes 4 bar, 46 inch 4 inch drop axle front end with a Durant monoleaf in front and Aldan adjustable coil overs in the rear. Polished Wilwood disc brakes reside on all wheels.
The drivetrain consists of a very strong 350/350hp crate motor connected to a 700R4 4 speed automatic overdrive transmission. The power is then transferred to the rear wheels though a Currie 9 inch positrac rear end equipped with 3:70 gear. The engine is dressed with So Cal chrome valve covers, a permashine Edlebrock intake manifold with a 650 cfm carburetor, a chrome high output alternator, a K&N air cleaner, Cool Flex hoses, braided stainless lines and ceramic coated headers. The exhaust goes through 2 1/2 inch stainless with Flowmaster mufflers and runs all the way out the back with nice chrome tips. It is kept running cool by a AFCO aluminum radiator with a Spal Electric fan. Out back you will find a 17 gallon Poly tank made by "By Tank" with a painted steel 32 cover.
The interior compartment is absolutely gorgeous with a glide bench seat that has been covered with light gray leather and gray Ostrich. The door panels, firewall compartment and roof have been done with the same quality materials. It features a polished tilt steering column by Ididit equipped with a nice modern billet banjo steering wheel. It has a great looking set of Dolphin gauges sitting in a SoCal gauge bezel. There is a nice overhead console that houses a courtesy light and a Pioneer AM/FM/CD player which has 4 speakers to deliver some great tunes. A unique feature are 2 small LED indicators which are controlled by micro switches wired to the Suicide Door safety latches that stay on until the latch is properly engaged. The interior compartment is made even more comfortable by the Vintage Air AC/Heat unit. The trunk of the car is finished out just as nicely as the passenger compartment and also houses the Optima Battery.
There are so many details to this car, that I am confident we have overlooked many of them. It truly is a car that needs to be seen to be fully appreciated.
