Ford 2 Dr Coupe, for sale in Arlington, Texas, for $44,250.
This isn't your everyday 1946 Ford! This classic has just received a tune up where every component was gone through piece by piece to ensure it is running right. Over $4,000 was invested to transform an already good running car into a great running car. It is currently in perfect running condition and needs nothing. It starts up smooth, has no oil leaks, and runs like a champ. Interestingly enough, the car is currently owned buy a NSRA safety inspector who insured this classic is as nice as described. It just received the 23 point award after being fully inspected inside and out. This 2 door coupe has great bodylines and is coated in beautiful bright red paint. All of the trim and bumpers are in great condition and need no work. It is a steel body car with NOS fenders. It has a great stance and sits on classic polished American Racing wheels which are perfect for this car.
The 350 V8 with throttle body injection runs smoothly and with zero issues. The following was taken automedia. com to give a good explanation on what a TBI system is:
TBI uses a standard-appearing intake manifold and a "throttle body" with two injectors that squirt fuel into the manifold. Think of it as a carburetor with brains. While tuned-port fuel injection (TPI) gets all the press, TBI delivers the same improved driveability and fuel-economy benefits. TBI systems have been standard equipment on millions of GM pickups and sport-utility vehicles since 1987; the components are proven and bulletproof. TBI also emphasizes low-end torque—good news for any old-truck owner or hot rodder. And if you convert from a carb to TBI, all existing bracketry for the alternator and A/C compressor can be retained.
The 700R4 transmission is one of the best on the market and shifts smoothly. Other drive train components include the Ford 8" rear end, rear adjustable leaf springs with Bilstein shocks, front sway bar, and front adjustable coil over shocks. The completely rebuilt power disc brakes (disc-front, drum-rear) stop this classic with ease. The power rack and pinion steering just makes this car even more enjoyable to drive. An added feature includes a battery disconnect to both save the battery and for extra security. With a new Optima battery, a new Gear Reduction Starter and a new 200 amp alternator, the electrical system is kept in good operating order.
The dark gray leather interior is extremely comfortable and was very well done. The drivers and passengers bucket seats (with headrests) are power operated. The front seats have been moved 4" to improve driver comfort when cruising down the road. A custom center console is in place and have cup holders as well as the power window controls. A nicely painted tilt steering column has just been added and is topped with a billet steering wheel. In addition to that a tachometer, seat belts, windshield wipers were also just added! The air conditioner blows cold and the heater works just as well. The AM/FM/CD player is in place and sounds great. The white faced gauges are inset into the dash and all function properly. The car comes with a fitted California Car cover.
