1971 Malibu/Chevelle, for sale in Arlington, Texas, for $7,500.
This is a 1971 Malibu/Chevelle that has great potential. In its current state, it could be used as a daily driver. It runs and drives fine. However, there is some work required to make this into a real nice car. The body work is 85% complete. The drivers door need to have a new exterior skin installed or a new door due to pre-existing body work. The balance of the car needs to be massaged a little and then painted your favorite color. The engine and transmission have less then 500 miles on them. The engine was rebuilt with the following: bored 40 over, flat top pistons, 10/10 steel crank, 58cc 202/ 1.60 cast heads, chrome molly push rods, 292/501 competition cam, 1.5 Crane roller rockers arms, Edlebrock torker aluminum intake, Edlebrock 650 CFM carburetor, K&N Filter, chrome valve covers, hi-volume oil pump, aluminum radiator, new AC/Delco distributor, Excel 8.8 wires and Hedman Headers. It runs and sounds good. The transmission is a new TCI Turbo 350 Stage III with a 2500 stall torque converter. The rear end is a factory 10 bolt non-posi with 3:23 gears.
It has new original Rally Wheels with new tires on all four.
The interior as pictured shows buckets seats. An original bench seat comes with the car if wanted. The rear package tray will need to be replaces as well as the arm rests. The balance of the door panels and the dash are in fair condition. The headliner is in good condition.
The cars power steering and AC equipment come with the car, but have not been reinstalled.
The Chevelle is a project that could easily be turned into a $20,000 SS clone.
