It has the original Rare Option 2-speed Windshield Wiper. Up Until 10 Months ago Car had not been registered for over 15 Years however, it is an original California Car Manufactured In Fremont, California. It is currently registered, licensed through August 2013 and has a Clean California Title. Mechanical Work Done in The Last 10 Months: The Original 6 Cylinder Engine has been replaced with a great running 1976 350 engine. It is equipped with a Mild Cam, Edelbrock Carburetor and a Weiand Intake. We further modified the Engine with new Sanderson Shorty Chrome Headers, Electric Choke, HEI distributor and New alternator. The Original Powerglide Transmission has been replaced with a 1967 THM400 3 Speed Automatic Transmission which we consider one of the better Transmissions for Resto-Mods. The driveshaft was professionally shortened and refitted with a slip yoke to accommodate the engine/transmission conversion. The speedometer gear in the transmission was changed to provide the proper Speedo output to the speedometer. The Single exhaust was replaced with new dual exhaust system including H Pipe, Series 40 Flowmaster Mufflers, Chrome Exhaust Tips and vehicle now has a very nice Rumble. A new gas tank, with sending unit, was installed since the car had been sitting for over 15 years. The new champion aluminum radiator is rated at enough cooling for a 575 HP motor. It also has a fan shroud, 16 inch clutch fan and new coolant recovery system. Front Brakes were converted to Disc Brakes and the rear drum brakes were retained. Brakes were converted to power with addition of a new Dual Master Cylinder, proportioning valve and new Power Booster. A new Lokar Kick Down Switch has been installed to provide full functionality for the THM400 Transmission. McGaughy 2 inch drop spindles were installed along with new front springs. Electrical: The wiring harnesses were totally removed, checked, cleaned, re-taped and re-installed. New wiring was added to accommodate the installation of the center console. Various switches, knobs, etc. were replaced with NOS form/fit compatible items as necessary. The clock was replaced with a form fit tachometer. The original radio is installed in the dash but is not hooked up however, speaker wiring from front to back was installed prior to the carpet replacement. Radio is not working. Body: The underbody was completely scraped, cleaned and re-coated.. The majority of Body Chrome was removed and holes molded in where needed. This is a preference by us however restoration to original could be accomplished easily. A new 2 Inch Cowl Induction Hood has replaced the Original Metal Hood. This conversion no longer uses the front hood latch. Twin recessed keyed locking hood latches were installed instead. The original latch will accompany the vehicle as will any serviceable chrome we have retained. Exterior: The 2-Stage color, which was also done professionally, is Bahama Green Metallic. This is a rare color for the 2 Dr Sport Coupe. Again, this was a personal preference since we prefer the Classy Look rather than a Hot Rod appearance. The color provides a two color appearance depending on the lighting. It appears lighter in the daytime hours and darker at night. This is unique for thls era car. All Exterior Weatherstipping is new. This includes: Felts, Trunk Seal, Door Seals, Roof Rail Seals, Door and door lock Seals. etc. Interior: The Interior has been converted from Bench Seat to Bucket Seats in the Front. Front and Back Seats have been re-upholstered in Two-Tone Black/Gray i.e. Vinyl and Velour. The Black headliner is also new. The rest of the interior, including the carpet, sound deadener, panels with Arm Rests, Package Tray, Kick Panels, Trunk Divider Panel, Door Sill Chrome, Firewall Pad and appropriate Insulation are also new and professionally Installed. Interior includes a Chrome Center SS Console with Courtesy Light and A Shiftworks Conversion Kit for the THM400 Transmission. Conversion kit includes new backup light switch and neutral safety switch. Tires and Wheels: New 17” Coy Custom Wheels (17x8 Rear and 17x7 Front) and New Falken Low Profile 225x45-17 Tires are installed. In addition, two spares with 195x74-14 tires mounted on Offset Wheels for Front Disc Brakes are provided. A complete set of SS spinners (hub caps) are included for change back to the original look if desired. You will have to provide the other two wheels and tires.
