Chevrolet Kingswood, White, for sale in Charlotte, North Carolina, for $12,995.
Charting the way for growing households in the early seventies was this beautiful 1970 Chevrolet Kingswood Estate station wagon. Covered in Classic white with excellent faux-wood veneer sides and tailgate, this beauty features a well-preserved and original deluxe green vinyl interior, code #72, is now available for today's fast paced lifestyle. A 400cid Turbo Fire V-8, which is mated to a 350HD automatic transmission, powers this wagon. And being the top of the line wagon, a lot of options and accessories were included, inside and out. Some include power steering, power brakes, power rear window, custom deluxe seat belts, cruise master speed control, deep cut-pile carpeting, AM/FM radio and much more.
Kingwoods were introduced in 1959 and ran through 1960. Then re-introduced in 1969 and ran through the 1972 model year. They were the top of line and this beautiful Estate, a 2 owner car, is an example to how nice and balanced they were. Two-way tailgate with power window, a cutout in the rear bumper to help passengers to step into the bumper as they entered the third row of seats. By the way, the 2nd and 3rd row of seats fold down and flat. The owner has taken this car one step further by upgrading the wheels and tires. Chrome alloy wheels with 225/60-16 tires up front and 235/55-17 tires in the rear to keep the power on the ground. Disc brakes are updated from the original discs when the car was lowered. A nice dual exhaust system was added to clear out burnt fuel a little faster. And for a modern day sound, a CD player was installed.
This car was built in Southgate during the 5th week of January 1970. Lots of documentation comes with the car. Some include the Protecto-Plate, the original window sticker, the owner's manual and more. Fit and finish are in excellent condition as is the chrome and the stainless steel trim. The driver's door panel and armrest are as in good condition as the passenger side. The engine bay is just like we would like it from a 41-year-old car. Clean, dry, detailed but not overly done. All of the rubber is fresh and ready for the road, show, or a weekend camping. This is an awesome station wagon and will not last long. Please give one of our sales associates a call and have him walk you around this beauty. Where else can you have a classic American iron, a muscle look, a good ride, a head turner and all of this room for so few dollars? There weren't many wagons made and there aren't many left, especially in this condition.
