Chevrolet 210 Delray, Orange, for sale in Charlotte, North Carolina, for $65,995.
This 1955 Chevy 210 is so far off the charts nice that we had to invent a new scale of measurement for awesomeness. With a brilliant Copper metallic paint job, a show-quality tan leather interior, and a big block with enough chrome to outfit a fleet of Buicks, this is a show and go prizewinner that takes no prisoners.
There's just no way to make a 1955 Chevy look bad, but when the paint is this good, the shape is simply dazzling. The metallic copper finish seems to draw out the details in the sheetmetal, including the eyebrows extending from just behind the headlights and the subtle lip that defines the rockers and fender openings. The bodywork is straight, and even in those massive rear quarters there's not a ripple anywhere to be seen. Up close, it's obvious that someone spent a ton of time wet sanding and buffing the finish so it reflects like a mirror-just look at the reflections from our photo studio in the paint! The trim was also restored to show condition, and all the pieces are still present and accounted for. Bumpers are freshly plated, the beautiful grille is sharp and crisp, and the stainless side trim has been polished to a chrome-like shine.
Acres of tan leather swath the interior like a modern luxury sedan, and those adjustable bucket seats are just as comfortable as they look. Sculpted door panels bring the metallic copper inside and add a lot of detail to an otherwise flat expanse. The original dash is augmented by a custom fabricated center console that joins with a lower valence housing the vents for the HVAC system. Classic Instruments provided the off-white gauges that fit so beautifully in the 1955 cluster, and there's a polished billet strip that defines the dashboard. Of course, a powerful AM/FM/CD stereo has been added, making this a no-compromises cruiser that can be driven anywhere in style and comfort. Even the trunk includes sculpted side panels and matching carpets.
Power comes from a 454 cubic inch big block that has been liberally doused in chrome. Everything you can see or touch has been through the plater's bath, including the air cleaner, intake manifold, valve covers, accessory drive, even the master cylinder. Tidy engineering puts wires and hoses neatly out of sight, and anything that couldn't be hidden was either polished or plated to blend right in. A billet serpentine belt drive manages the accessories, including power steering and the aforementioned A/C system, and a custom stainless shroud cools the aluminum radiator. Backed by a TH400 automatic and a Ford 9-inch on a 4-link suspension, the drivetrain is rugged and reliable. The front suspension has been fully chromed and features coilover shocks, tubular A-arms, and two-piston disc brakes. It rides on staggered Torque Thrusts with 225/50/16 front and 255/50/17 rear Kumho radials.
Even at this price, the builder is surely losing a big pile of money on the sale. Don't miss this opportunity and call today!
