1955 Cameo 3100 - Restored

Most of the time you are either a truck person or car person. You don't see many people crazy about Camaros also drooling over every truck that rolls by. Well throughout the years there were a few trucks built that you just can't ignore. These will have even the die hard muscle car fan dreaming of classic pickups. The classic 55 Cameo is one of these models. These trucks had awesome body lines and some beautiful chrome. This cool restored Cameo is coated in the two tone Red and White that is specific to these models. The front and rear bumpers are nicely mounted in place and have a great finish. All of the other original style chrome and stainless are in place including that awesome grill. And they are very clean and shine like new. All of the correct trim and emblems are on the truck with the bowtie coated Red up front. One of the coolest features on any vintage truck is found in the back. Nowadays trucks are finished out with lined or painted beds that are there just to be beaten up. Well back when this truck was built it was all wood. The bed on this classic is done in a nice dark wood that has a beautiful shine. In between each board are polished stainless pieces that have a mirror like finish. The sides are all coated Red to continue that Red/White theme. Another couple of other neat features of the cameo trucks is the spare tire storage in the middle of the rear bumper and the retractable cable operated tailgate with dual latches. Red is also found on the cab framing the windows which are nice and clear. With that color combo the truck just wouldn't look right without Wide White wall tires. They have plenty of tread left and wrap the Red steel wheels with Chevrolet chrome hubcaps.

Under the nice white hood is a small block correct 265 cubic inch Chevy motor that runs very well. It starts up strong and has no problem moving this truck down the road. The engine compartment is nicely finished out being all painted in black. All of the bolts along the sides or front are either nicely polished or painted black. The large circle chrome air cleaner has a nice shine and looks great next to the billet A/C compressor and alternator. Everything is nicely done with even the battery nicely mounted in a polished frame. The 3 speed automatic transmission shifts nice and smooth and in perfect timing. And the power steering plus power brakes make the truck a pleasurable drive.

The interior is just as nicely done as the rest and has that great classic look. The dash and door panels are all very cleanly painted and have a great finish. The dash is topped with the original style chrome knobs and switches which look great in place. The A/C unit is mounted under the dash and blows cold with no problems. The tilt steering column is nicely polished and topped with an aftermarket red half wrap Billet steering wheel. The bench seat is two tone Black and Red vinyl that is very comfortable. The headliner is also done in a the original style red and is in great condition.

This is a great looking truck that needs nothing. There is no arguing that it has a clean appearance that you don't see with every pickup. The stance, color, body lines, and chrome all work perfectly together to make up an awesome classic look. These trucks are definitely sought after collectables that are increasing in value.
