1957 Chevrolet Bel Air

Resto-Mod

No matter how many times you see a 1957 Chevy they never lose that "cool" factor. These cars have some of the most recognizable bodylines around the world and never go out of style. It may have not been the first car with those classic fins but it sure made them popular. This 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air is a very well built and thought out resto-mod. It was frame off restored and very well done using good components. It is painted in that classic Turquoise and White combo that never gets old. The paint has been color sanded and buffed to a deep shine. The shade of Blue accents the car perfectly and it looks great outdoors. The floor pans, rockers and trunk pan are solid with no rust. The car is 100% solid. It has been given a coat of sound deadener to provide for a quite interior. The roof and window pillars are coated White and really pops next to the dark tinted windows. All of the glass was replaced during the build. The chrome and the stainless on the car has a beautiful shine and is new and carefully reworked. All of the correct emblems are nicely mounted with a nice finish. It wouldn't be a classic Bel Air without those frenched in spears on the hood which you can guess have just as nice of a shine as the rest. The car has a new wiring harness and everything working with no issues. The tail lights shine bright with nice clear lenses. The car has a nice stance and has been slightly lower giving it a great profile look. The Billet Specialties 18" wheels are the perfect fit on this car and are nicely polished. They have a diamond type finished that really gives it a unique look. They are wrapped in Pirelli P Zero Nero low profile tires that have plenty of tread.

The new crate 350 V8 under the hood runs extremely well and packs plenty of torque. The motor is very responsive and cruises around very well. It is fed gas through a Holley carburetor on a GM mid rise aluminum intake. The car is kept running cool by an aluminum radiator with Spal dual electric fans. The engine compartment is nicely finished off with the firewall painted to match and Black painted inner fenders. The motor is topped with a lot of Billet components and all braided hoses. A Billet Specialties serpentine belt system keeps the polished AC compressor and polished alternator turning. The finned valve covers and air cleaner are nicely polished and are matching. The 2 1/2" exhaust on the car is fully custom and very nicely put together. The entire system is ceramic coated which is very easy to maintain. A custom H pipe eventually feeds into Borla mufflers which you can hear for yourself in this video. Even the hangars were custom built and are very high quality. The entire underneath of the car is finished off extremely well with everything painted or powder coated. The 700R4 automatic overdrive transmission shifts nice and smooth and is also all painted. It is connected to a Currie 9 inch tru-trac rear end with 31 spline axles and 3:25 gears. The drive train combination lets this machine have plenty of top end/freeway speed while still being very quick from a standstill. It has a Unisteer power rack and pinion, tubular upper control arms and adjustable coil overs. The car rides and drives great!

There is no doubt that the 57 Chevys have one of the cleanest looking dashes ever produced. The center trim piece is correctly mounted in place and runs the length from one side to the other. The correct looking radio is in place but you can bet it doesn't sound original. A custom stereo is in place on the car with a 6 CD changer mounted in the trunk. A billet steering wheel tops the Flamin River polished tilt steering column. The original style gauges, knobs, and switches are all working just as they should. A Vintage Air AC system is in place with the vents nicely mounted so they don't stand out. The bench seats are very comfortable and done in a white with blue piping. The carpeting is all in great condition and in the front is topped with custom embroidered 57 Chevy floor mats. The trunk is just as nicely finished out and houses the hidden battery and original steel spare. Plus in the trunk is a 10 disc CD changer, a subwoofer and amp for the custom AM/FM CD stereo system that really rocks the house.

We are sure that we have overlooked some more features, but you should get the point that nothing has been overlooked. This is one awesome Bel Air that needs nothing. One look and you will have to have it!
