Cadillac Series 61 Club Coupe, Green, for sale in Solon, Ohio, for $16,990.
1951 Cadillac Series 51
Sure, back in the day, the '51 61 Series may not have gotten the prime valet spot at the country club, but times have changed. It's a Cadillac; and Cadillacs like these are marveled at everywhere you go. Don't take it from us though, go to your local cruise night and you'll see that cars like this one always have a crowd around them! The 1951 model year was the last year that the 61 Series was produced. Selling only 4,700 copies for the 1951 model year and having a base price of about $3,400, the luxury compact car with a 122 inch wheelbase that was marketed toward the middle class was discontinued.
Nearly rust free All there! Great starting point for a restoration or hot rod project!
If you are familiar with The Motor Car Group, you probably know that our usual affairs are mostly with the likes of Ferraris, Porsches, and 1960s and 1970s muscle cars. You also probably know that we are no stranger to dealing with rare and unique cars. We all know how hard it is to find a 1951 of anything, let alone a Cadillac 61 Series, and this particular example of the 61 Series is rust-free and has its original engine. This is a rare opportunity for any car enthusiast.
Now, we're not going to lie here. This car needs to have some extensive work done to it, and let's face it, some TLC and elbow grease just isn't going to cut it. If you'd like us to look the car over, we'd be glad to do whatever you'd like, but this car is being sold as is, where is. We want it to find a good home but it DOES need work and we want you to understand that!
If you look at the pictures and are appalled, this isn't the car for you. if you can see beyond the needs to a restored car, give it another look. If, like us, you see its warts and flaws as positive points, this is a cool car. People spend lots of money to fake patina. . this car is the real deal. This '50s cruising machine has great restoration potential, and its greatest appeal might just lie in its present condition.
If you have any questions before, during or after the sale, do not hesitate to contact us. It's what we're here for
