1948 Buick Super Convertible

There is something classy about a vintage car that manufacturers nowadays just can't match. It seems like "back in the day" they took care of making sure every inch of the car had a great style. This beautiful 1948 Buick Super Convertible has an awesome look and drives very well. The bodylines have a great appearance with tons of accenting stainless and chrome. This classic was bought in 2005 by the current over from a car fanatic in Ohio. At that time it was being lightly driven after its complete restoration in 1995. Since the restoration it has only built up 25,900 miles. That's over the course of 17 years! These cars are sought after in todays market being one of the all steel luxury vehicles that you just can't hardly find. These cars are rare and you will be surprised when you think about it and probably realize you may have never even seen one in person. The body is coated in a nice slick Maroon that has a great finish. Every fender is accented with nice stainless that is in great condition. It has the correct hood emblem and all of the "Super" badging. The bumpers and front grill have a beautiful shine. The car is driven and enjoyed so it does have its share of small chips from the road but this is very limited to what you would expect on a classic that is occasionally driven to shows, cruises, etc. All of the glass is in good condition being nice and clear. The original style headlights and taillights are cleanly mounted and work as they should. The car rolls around on original style painted to match wheels with original style Buick chrome hubcaps and beauty rings. New wide white wall tires were bought and installed on the car at 14,000 miles.

Powering up the car is a 455 Buick V8 that runs extremely well. The blacked out Buick valve covers are nicely mounted to each side of the K&N chrome circle air cleaner. It has plenty of other shine as well with a polished manifold, cool flex hoses, and chrome pulleys. The engine compartment is painted to match the car which creates a very clean look. The motor is backed by a Turbo 350 automatic transmission which sends power through the driveshaft into the 3:55 rear end. This car has been driven to multiple NSRA national locations throughout the US and had no problems. It is a great driver and ideal for everything from short runs down to the local Sonic show or long hauls to the other side of country.

The interior is done in a nice Beige leather that matches the convertible top. It is very comfortable and allows plenty of seating/leg room. The top is all power operated and raises with no issues. Other power assisted features include the windows and steering. The dash on the car is done in an original style with all of the original trim, knobs, switches, etc. The gauges have a great nostalgic look and work properly. The original AM radio is in place but does not currently work. Hidden under the dash is the Vintage Air AC/Heat system which works well. There is a center unit and two side vents on both the passenger and drivers side.

The trunk of the car is finished out nicely and houses a spare with a cover to match the interior. This is a very nicely done car that would make a great addition to any collection!
