1934 Buick 66C Convertible Coupe, AACA National First Prize recipient, one of only 253 produced and rumored to be one of just 8 known to exist, the 60 Series was Buick's 2nd most prestigious line. Equipped with dual sidemounts with metal covers and mirrors, truck rack with trunk, artillery wheels, Tan finish with Brown leather upholstery, Brown carpet, Tan Convertible Top and Boot, correct jack and lug wrench, front bumper guards, 278cid straight 8 cylinder engine (engine #2894123), 3-speed standard shift transmission, Jaeger clock, reverse light, Firestone Deluxe Champion wide-white-wall tires, comprehensive body-off restoration in 1992, odometer reading: 2,101 (actual miles unknown). The original owners of this particular car were Mr. & Mrs. Francis Boardman Crowninshield. Mrs. Crowninshield - better know by her maiden name, Louise du Pont - became one of America's first major historical preservationists and was a founding member of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. The Crowninshield's kept this car at their Marblehead, MA estate and used it sparingly as they spent most of the year at their Florida estate on Boca Grande island. Also included in sale is a period correct General Motors Autoradio model #135.
