1973 Buick Century Luxus, Green, for sale in Los Angeles, California, for $6,000.
1973 Buick Century Luxus 2-door Coupe, 350-2 barrel V8 engine, 175 HP, automatic transmission, factory A/C. Power steering, power brakes. A rare and lucky find - everything absolutely original/stock, unrestored except for a new coat of paint in the original color that was done last year and a Panasonic radio/cassette that has been installed in the 1980s. Blue plate California car, originally purchased in Pasadena, stayed in one family since 1973 (with two registered owners) until I bought it last fall. No rust, always well maintained. Always garaged except for occasional street parking in the last few months. No repairs necessary or coming up, tranny, engine, cooling system, carburator all in excellent shape. Registered through April 2014. 5 digit odometer shows ~36k miles, judging from the original maintenance records and engine performance it's possible it really is 36k and not 136k as the car's age would suggest. The car comes with the original set of rims, the spoke wheels shown are not the originals. Also comes with original owner manual and maintenance records from 1973 through 1978. There is one small crack in the paint in the rear passenger side window area and one small scratch on the trunk lid, both very minor and barely visible and they do not affect the overall visual appearance of the car. Other than that no dents or dings, chrome is flawless and like new, trim is complete. Glove compartment needs new lining, other than that interior has some minor cosmetic age-appropriate wear, but seats, carpet, headliner, door panels etc are in excellent shape and all original. Here's what I know about the car's history: It was originally purchased in Pasadena by an elderly lady who passed away in the early 1980s and the car got passed on to her housekeeper and family. They kept it well maintained and garaged since then and were planning to eventually give it to their son once he reached driving age, but he opted for a non-vintage car instead and the car was put up for sale to raise funds towards a new car for him, which is how I ended up buying it. In recent years the car was driven only occasionally, just enough to keep it maintained and running smoothly. I drive it mostly for fun and mostly short distances. Starts without problems every time and runs and drives excellent. This is a moving sale. I hate to part with it, it's a lot of fun to drive, but I have to to make room for something smaller.
