The Bentley S-Type was introduced in 1955. The model updated the R-Type with an improved cylinder head, longer chassis and roomier body. In 1959 the S2 updated the S-Type with a completely new V8 engine. The model was available with the standard steel or custom coachwork.
There are three different S series models plus an assortment of coachbuilt examples. Standard steel S-Type and S2 cars feature two headlights. S3&;s are easily identified as they have four headlights. S-Type&;s have a six cylinder motor while S2 and S3&;s have V8 motors.
Our S2 was gift to the Rolls Royce Owners Club Foundation by an elderly member. It features very low mileage and very nice original leather. The wood needs new varnish and the body has a few lumps but the paint is high quality and looks great. The engine compartment is clean and nicely detailed. The tires and hub caps are in excellent condition. We had the car up to 75 mph and it drives great. If you&;re looking for a classic Rolls/Bentley, you won&;t find a better car for the money.
