This 1981 Austin Mini 1000 HL started out as a basic little car living a basic little car life. That all changed when a bloke across the pond was inspired by California style custom VWs and decided to apply that clean look to a Mini. Gone are the original tail lights and badges. In their place you'll find smooth surfaces covered in Primrose yellow paint. Also gone is the original grill and chrome surround, replaced by a custom grill featuring relocated indicator lights. The engine and undercarriage have been treated to a Jackson Pollack inspired splattered paint treatment, as well. Inside you'll find custom fitted front seats from a Fiat and handmade rear seat with cool oval polyurethane padding. Under the bonnet is a modified 1293 cc engine with several performance modifications. This Mini was featured in a 1995 edition of "Mini World. "THE magazine for the mighty Mini. It may not be as new and perfect as it appears in the magazine, but it's still a very fun car for not a lot of money.
