Austin-Healey's production of sports cars started in 1953 with the introduction of the successful 100-4 model. In 1956, the 6-cylinder 100-6 model was produced which was developed into the vastly improved and famous 3000. This model featured front disc brakes for greater torque and horsepower and was offered in 2 and 4 seat roadster body styles. 1963 models benefited from even more improvements and upgrades with the introduction of the BJ7 2+2 sports convertible.
