1962 Austin Healey Sprite Mark II, Red, for sale in St Petersburg, Florida, for $13,888.Immaculate, beautifully restored and meticulously maintained 1962 Austin Healey Sprite Mark II Roadster in desirable Tartan Red ~ a classic British sports car. This 1962 Austin Healey Sprite recently won the All British Car Show in Safety Harbor FL and received The Best of Show in St. Pete Beach. Additionally, this car has won every British Car Show entered in the past 7 years. This is one of the nicest early Sprites you will find. Details: 1,275cc 4 cylinder engine with non syncro first gear Pertronix electronic ignition 12v positive ground Period correct English driving lights Chrome luggage rack Front disc brakes Chrome roll bar and much much more - see additional items listed below. This Austin Healey drives, brakes, shifts, runs and steers exceptionally well. It was restored and repainted in original Tartan Red and has black Austin Healey seats with white piping. Additional vehicle information; only 93 octane gasoline has been used and ethanol treatment is always added with fuel. Fuel gauge works but is not accurate. Luggage rack can easily be removed and small plug caps can be placed in drill holes. Convertible top frame was recently powder coated in gloss black along with driving light brackets also in gloss black. As expected with a vehicle that is over 50 years old, there are a few small areas on the paint that have been touched up (trunk tip area). Front and rear bumper are not installed, but included with purchase. New owner may want replace with new or have the existing bumpers re-chromed. There are a couple tiny paint bumbles behind each rear wheel. This car has never been raced or ran hard and over the last several years this car has only been driven to car shows and special events.
