The only Auburn to ever race at the Indianapolis 500. Marion Trexler drove this "Trexler Special, "a 298.6-cubic-inch Lycoming straight-eight-powered Auburn chassis, in the 1930 running of the Indianapolis 500. Trexler qualified at 92.97 miles per hour, but wrecked on lap 19 after Red Roberts' Duesenberg crashed into a wall, triggering a seven car accident including Trexler's car.
