Of all the places in the classic car world to lurk with a coffee and camera in hand, it would be hard to top doing so around the outside of Ferrari Classiche, situated in Modena, Italy.

For those that have not heard of this little garage of wonder, Ferrari Classiche was set up in 2006 for maintenance, repair and renovation of classic Ferraris, as well as technical assistance and authenticity certification. Using its extensive archival resources, and skilled tradespeople, Ferrari Classiche is able to breath life into an old prancing horse.

Its latest rollout is a 1952 212 Inter Cabriolet (chassis number 0235EU), owned by Kenneth B. Roath, an American collector. Ferrari Classiche has had the car since 2010, and as the image above attests, it's been a meticulous restoration. Having been finished, it had a very public reveal last weekend at the Villa d’Este Concorso d’Eleganza, Lake Como.

In addition to being a picture of classic design, this particular car also has some racing heritage. It raced the Nürburgring 1000 km in 1953, and finished ninth overall.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got a passport to find, a plane to catch, and then a coffee to buy. Well, a Ferrari fan can dream, can't he?
